We are a company that believes in taking a risk and challenging boundaries. Therefore, when the call came through on Twitter for someone to donate an ipad to help a newly qualified teacher (NQT) to develop resources for a flipped classroom project, we could not resist. After a few basic checks and a quick discussion on the phone with Kieran’s new Headteacher we provided her with a Galaxy Samsung 10. Not an ipad no, but certainly good enough for the project. In fact it will be interesting to see how it performs.
Maggie has offered to provide feedback on the research method and resources developed by Kieran. We plan to communicate regularly via email, twitter and Skype. This type of remote coaching and mentoring is something as a company we believe is possible for developing CPD in schools but we also practice what we preach; action research is the way forward.
If you are interested in participating in this project please check out the basic outline here http://catflaplearning.wordpress.com/ Kieran is keen to have more schools involved so that we can have enough data to see if this type of project does have an impact on learning
